The health of your pet is of the utmost importance. Having the answers right at your fingertips makes your decision regarding prescription medication, your vet's procedures and policies and relevant information regarding your appointments, much easier.

If you can't find the answer here, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to answer any of your questions to put your mind at ease or send you in the right direction.

Prescription Medication Policy

We understand how important it is to have the medicine your pet needs as quickly as possible. We also understand that convienence and price also are of importance.


We are proud to offer not only a full in clinic pharmacy, we also have an online pharmacy where medications and food can be sent directly to your home. 


Should you wish to obtain the medication or food from a source outside of these, we are happy to give you a hand written prescription in which you can provide to a pharmacy of your choosing. 


We regret that we cannot call in your prescriptions to outside pharmacies nor can we fax.  We do have portals to accept  certain medications for a few of the outside online pharmacies. 


Should you need a refill of your pets medications, please send an email to juantaboanimalclinic@gmail.com, request through petly.com or give us a call.


We ask that you give the doctors 2 business days to complete the request.

Veterinarian Call Backs

We know that sometimes you need to speak with your pet's veterinarian regarding their ongoing medical issue. We ask that you give the veterinarian 2-3 business days to return your calls. 

Our veterinarians have specific schedules and do not work every day of the week. We will do our best to make sure your questions are answered as quickly as possible, however. We do know that your pet's health is your utmost priority as it is ours. 

Record Requests

We understand that are many reasons you may need your pet's records sent to you. Whether it be for insurance reimbursements, location change, vaccination records, etc; we understand the potential for immediate needs for these records. We ask you to give us 24-48 business hours to respond to your request. The records will be provided by email. 

You can also visit petly.com for vaccination records and prescription refills.

If you need your pet's records, please email us at juantaboanimalclinic@gmail.com with your name, pets name that you are requesting records for and the date of service you are requesting. 

New Client Policy

We are absolutely accepting new clients and patients!

We do have a new client fee of $35.61 plus tax that we will collect at the time of scheduling your appointment. 

This charge will be refunded back to you during your scheduled appointment. 

If you call and cancel your appointment within 72 hours of the scheduled appointment, that charge will also be refunded back to you!

Any no-show appointments or same-day cancelations will result in a forfeit of that fee. 

Pandemic Updates

Covid-19 put a wrench in both 2020 and 2021. Now that we are in 2023, we are still discovering what a "new normal" really means. 

As of right now, we are fully open and no masks are required

However, should the situation change, we will always follow CDC recommendations and Government health mandates.
